Improved Support for Refugees in Turkey Affected by Crises in Iraq and Syria

Financed by the European Union, this project provides social and legal information and counseling as well as support for social integration through the Field Offices, Sustainable Living Centers and Mobile Counselling Teams. Expert field workers deliver services to the refugees regarding asylum seeking procedures in Turkey, legal rights and responsibilities, basic health services and psychological counseling. In addition to these activities, the project provides target-specific services for refugees with special needs. Vocational training and psychological support for people with disabilities, social integration, awareness raising and life-skill development activities for women and children are organized. Especially in social integration activities, it is aimed to improve social cohesion and mutual empathy between the refugees and host community.
