“2nd Refugee Movie Festival” started

Organized by joint efforts of Refugee Support Center (MUDEM-RSC) and Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (SGDD-ASAM), and financial support provided by the European Union, ”2nd Refugee Film Festival” started at Büyülü Fener Kızılay. Cinemagoers were given the opportunity to watch a selection of eleven films & documentaries in the field of refugees and immigration from world cinema for free. The films and documentaries screened at the festival include works of art such as Capernaum, The Guest Aleppo to İstanbul, The Other Side of Hope, Fatima, Le Havre and The Good Postman. The Festival also hosted a special screening. The Guest Aleppo to Istanbul which revolves around on-the-road stories was presented to cinemagoers’ taste. After the special screening, Andaç Haznedaroğlu, director of the movie, answered audience’s questions with Safa Karataş, General Coordinator of MUDEM-RSC. After the screening in Ankara, the 2nd Refugee Film Festival will continue to meet cinema lovers in Yalova, and will be finalized in Karabük at CINEBOSS Onel Mall.
